![]() Fully realizing the depravity of his actions, Doug fell into madness, left with a burning reminder of his mistakes. Soon after escaping from his family, Doug came to regret his decision. He devised a plan to escape them, use his wealth to start a new life, and forget they existed. ![]() Growing tiresome of his family's responsibilities, Doug opted to abandon his wife and daughter. She was convinced that her father resented her, evidenced by signs of self-inflicted scars on her body, as well as extreme agitation when asked about him.ĭoug merely saw Tammy for her flaws, and considered her a financial burden. As her conditions worsened over time, Doug had to admit her to the Pittsburgh Psychiatric Hospital, where she was diagnosed.ĭuring her assessment, Tammy was examined to have anhedonia, poor mental stability, and bipolar disorder, inherited from her mother. Doug's daughter had a history of mental health disorders dating back to 1988, including spontaneous mood swings, panic attacks, and impulsive behavior. Some time after the marriage, Elise gave birth to a daughter named Tammy Houser. Some times later, Doug grew to become an independent adult and married Elise Houser, but never introduced her to his mother. Because of this, Doug's mother grew to hate Doug, seeing him as a burden, which later causes her to become abusive and neglectful of her son, a trait which would later be passed on to her son. Doug's mother regretted marrying her ex-husband, thinking that she could've used her life for better achievements, but instead is stuck raising Doug. Due to his first person nature it is stated that he is shorter than Bierce.ĭoug grew up as an only child with his mother who is a single parent after being abandoned by his father.
